MORNING AND LUNCH IN TUSCANIA:

A walk in Torre di Lavello Park, at the end of the main road in Tuscania, is a nice walk and has a wonderful view on San Pietro and Santa Maria (a must see in Tuscania), as well as on the Marta river valley.

Lunch Da Alfreda, the real “trattoria” from the past. Super simple and really really cheap. Serves lunch only.

DAY AT THE BEACH:

Capalbio: Chiarone beach, is the closest (30 mins from San Giusto) and nicest beach, with a wonderful beach club, restaurant and bar called “Ultima Spiaggia”, www.ultimaspiaggia.com

This beach is particularly beautiful because it is a free beach, 14 km of coast without buildings, only nature.

Ultima Spiaggia Beach Club, in a corner of the beach, is a true paradise, where you can rent beach umbrellas at different prices. They offer different options of food: you can choose a simple sandwich, a fantastic cold buffet of fish, meat and vegetables or at an à la carte restaurant on the beach, with spaghetti with clams and fried fish as favorites.

DAY AT THE LAKE:

Close to San Giusto are lake towns Capodimonte and Marta. People say Capodimonte has the best beach and the nicest beach club is Bora Bora. You can also rent boats to enjoy the lake fully!

WINERY TOUR AND TASTING:

If you like wine and wineries, we highly recommend Montauto winery, in Tuscany, but quite close to our home.

Cìvita di Bagnoregio, la “città che muore”. Due to geological reasons, Civita was abandoned in the Middle Ages because the soil around it is slowly crumbling. The landscape around Civita is breathtaking.

Near Capalbio, Giardino dei Tarocchi, Tarot Garden. A very popular sculptural garden created by the French artist Niki de Saint Phalle in Pescia Fiorentina, località Garavicchio. It is a park full of huge sculptures made of ceramic and glass mosaic. For contemporary art lovers, but perfect for kids too.

Mount Argentario and Orbetello

Mount Argentario is a wonderful (and chic) area, with three beautiful towns and incredible beaches.

Orbetello, is a lovely village built on the water, on a lagoon. The town is really charming, with some beautiful shops, too, and very close to the beaches.

Porto Santo Stefano is a famous town for holidays, located on the Northern side of Mount Argentario.

Port’Ercole is a cute village on the water, with nice shops.

Monsters Park Bomarzo, Park of Monsters, a world- famous Renaissance park, the Sacred Forest, with gigantic statues and sculptures of monsters, games and a labyrinth, together with a nice hike in a forest. Plus there is a very small and cute restaurant for visitors, on site.

A Day in Roma

Go to Rome for just a day trip by train! You can catch the train in Tarquinia and the train arrives in the Vatican, or in Rome Central.

Hannah walked into the architecture studio and Thomas noticed. A couple months later, they almost kissed at a NYE party in Berlin. A couple months later, they watched a Daniel Radcliffe movie (not Harry Potter) together in a will-they-won’t-they hang session. A couple months later, they started properly dating on the fourteenth of February, not at all related to Valentine’s Day.

Hannah can whip up a decent meal with pure intuition and whatever is available in the fridge.

Hard to say since it depends on when you’re reading this. We are always fostering dogs from the shelter and trying to get them into forever homes.

Hannah’s ride or die Cube is a solid machine, both futuristic and classy in its design (with rounded corners for the Apple fanatics) , unfailing, spacious, and comfortable. Those of you who have had the privilege of sitting in it know what she’s talking about.
